Maryann B. Deignan holds a BS in Education from Bridgewater State College and has spent over 40 years as a teacher to children of all ages and abilities, including special needs. In 1987, Maryann opened a childcare center, Kids-A-Lot Country Day School, a nurturing environment aimed to stimulate young minds. Kids-A-Lot received National Accreditation several times throughout Maryann's tenure. Maryann was a founding board member of the Clover Foundation, a preschool that services impoverished children in Kampala, Uganda. Although Maryann has recently retired, she is committed to continuing her passion of educating young minds and hopes that her stories will ignite a spark in the imaginations of children everywhere. Maryann is the proud mother of four grown children. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends on Cape Cod. Maryann enjoys going to the beach, traveling, reading, walking, crafting, and laughing over a good meal. Maryann resides in Charlestown, MA, with her husband of 34 years, Chris.
