Dr. Jeni Felker, PsyD, is a licensed psychologist who lives in Beaverton, Oregon. In addition to writing this book, she also illustrated it with her own photos and pictures of her paintings. Jeni currently works as a Health Behavior Provider for the Providence Health System and enjoys her job immensely. She has two adult sons, Max and Jack, and lives with her husband, John. She has worked therapeutically with children, adults and families for over 30 years. Jeni grew up in Yellow Springs, Ohio, where her father, Bill Felker (well-known and loved for his Poor Will's Almanack series), still resides. Working at Young's Jersey Dairy near her hometown during college was one of her favorite jobs and gave Jeni an appreciation for all things Jersey cow and farm animal. Skiddles was indeed a real chicken and she lived for many years in the backyard with her sisters! She often visited inside the house and laid several eggs on the couch! She was one GROOVY chicken!
