This book originated from a master's thesis defended in 2016 at the Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing-ESPM (School of Advertising and Marketing) Graduate Program in International Management, São Paulo. The study aimed to identify whether the international nature of the company implies the development of different individual skills for secretarial professionals. The results show that part of the set of skills established by the Ministry of Education (MEC, BRAZIL, 2005) is related to the five skills identified in the research: Customer relations: working with quality, seeking internal and external customer satisfaction. Teamwork: working with other professionals to coordinate knowledge. Time management: acting with delegation and planning. Creativity/Innovation: working on something new or improving what already exists. Negotiation: including the pursuit of results, mutual advantages, and building a better relationship with customers. With regard to behavioral skills, it isnoted that the professionals surveyed point to only four of the skills identified in the literature review.
