Kirsty Howarth lives in a small village in Northwest Leicestershire with her family, her partner, Chris, her son, Ethan, and daughter, Poppy. Her love of the outdoors and her young children have inspired the story of Willow's Wood. Growing up in an old mining town in the Midlands that backed onto wasteland, woods, fields, and meadows, Kirsty has fond memories of adventure-filled days with her siblings and friends. Every day was an adventure, full of imagination. That experience is something she wishes and hopes for, not only for her own children, but for every child growing up.
