Over the last decade, door lock has evolved from being the usual padlock or key and lock to being an automated door lock system implemented using several technologies. These technologies include palmtop recognition, Smart watch, face recognition, RFID, password and voice recognition Etc. This project will showcase a prototype automated security door lock that can be remotely controlled by a smart watch acting as the key. It is based on the concept of lock and key which will be implemented on a smart watch to make life easier for human beings. Individuals wearing this device will be able to automatically open the lock of their own office door just by being in close proximity with the door via a Bluetooth communication. The smart watch serves as the key and an automatic lock system will be installed on the door.
