Autorenporträt
Shruti Kaul was born in Srinagar, Kashmir and left her birthplace at a young age, due to genocide and exodus of her community. After completing her Engineering and MBA, she worked in the corporate world and has lived in different Indian cities, collecting myriad bittersweet experiences, yet always felt a sense of not belonging anywhere. Her love for arts, literature and music rooted in her genes, but was overshadowed by the societal pressure to pursue STEM education. She started reading and writing poetry at a young age and was enamoured by how feelings and emotions could be expressed in words by the great poets. She has won several literary awards during her school and college days and is starting her journey on this literary landscape. "Snow Borne Souvenirs" is the first book in the progression of her poetry collection.
