This study sought to discuss humanisation in healthcare as a reflective proposal for social work. The aim was to investigate humanisation in healthcare as it relates to Social Work and to highlight the importance of Social Work in the HumanizaSUS National Humanisation Policy. The results obtained showed that the implementation of the National Humanisation Policy is recent, and that it is going through different limits and daily institutional challenges. In view of this, Social Work professionals are required to contribute to reflecting on their daily social practice within the framework of what the Unified Health System proposes.
