Autorenporträt
Andrew J. Newman, Ph.D. (1987) in Islamic Studies, University of California, Los Angeles, is Lecturer in Islamic Studies and Persian at the University of Edinburgh. He has published many articles on Shi'ism in the Safavid period. He is also author of The Formative Period of Period of Shi'i Law: Hadith as Discourse Between Qum and Baghdad (Curzon, 2000).
