Le professeur Manish Upadhyay est un environnementaliste. Ses recherches portent sur l'étude de l'environnement, l'eau potable et les eaux usées, les sols, l'analyse du charbon et la pollution industrielle. Il a obtenu un diplôme de troisième cycle et un doctorat en chimie à la GGU de Bilaspur. Il a 22 ans d'expérience dans l'enseignement supérieur. Il a écrit de nombreux ouvrages dans les domaines des sciences et de l'ingénierie.
