In this book, a solid lipid nanoparticle (SLN)-based system was developed for efficient incorporation and persistent release of BH. A 3-factor, 2-level Box-Behnken design was used to optimize the process parameters including Triglyceride (A), Tween 20 (B) and Span 40 (C). Four dependent variables particle size, % CDR, % entrapment efficiency and viscosity of aqueous phase were measured as responses. Mathematical equations and response surface plots were to relate the dependent and independent variables using Design-Expert software (DX9).

Dr. K. Jaya Raja Kumar hat seinen Master in Pharmazie (Industriepharmazie) an der Annamalai University und seinen Doktortitel (Biotechnologie) an der Acharya Nagarjuna University erworben. Zurzeit arbeitet er als Dozent für Pharmazie am Asian Institute of Medicine Science and Technology University (AIMST) in Kedah, Malaysia. Dr. JRK hat außerdem mehr als 100 Forschungsarbeiten veröffentlicht.
