David Hunter completed his undergraduate studies at McGill University in 1988 and his PhD at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1994. He taught at Buffalo State College from 1997 until he joined Toronto Metropolitan University in 2006. He research is in the philosophy of mind and action. His book On Believing appeared with Oxford University Press in 2022.
