Do you struggle to rest? Modern life is insatiably busy. Between the pressure of success, the demands of family, the busy schedules of our kids, and the frantic pace of modern life, do you long for real rest? Not just the kind that looks like sipping cocktails on the Whitsunday's shoreline--the kind that sinks deep down into your soul. Soul Rest. The most famous person in history, Jesus Christ, promised every human being that if they simply come to him they would find rest for their souls (Matthew 11:28-29). But so few of us, religious or not, find this to be our experience. The truth is, even Christians struggle to find the deeply satisfying state of Soul Rest. This book is a six-week journey meditating on that majestic promise of Jesus and how we can finally unlock it in this life. It's not about tapping out of our commitments or becoming a monk. It's about finding the abiding presence of Jesus every moment of every day. This book can be used as a devotional, or as group material. You don't have to be a Christian to read it, either. It includes personal reflections, group material, and links to other resources. You may just discover how to enjoy life the way you were made to.
