Mr. MacCaigh doesn't just write sea stories; he's lived them. He enlisted in the US Navy at ageseventeen and went to sea at eighteen. He served aboard a destroyer in combat, and "sailed the sevenseas." He also worked aboard a "laker," an iron-ore bulk carrier on the North American Great Lakes andcrewed on private yachts.He has held industrial and factory jobs, authored articles in magazines and newspapers, written three novellas, and earned an honors BA degree in English literature and creative writing from the State University of New York.This is his first full-length novel.
