Kishema Pendu Malik has been to over 33 countries because of her life as a professional dancer/instructor and choreographer. Kishema began traveling in 2004 when she was offered a job to teach dance and fitness in Tulum, Mexico for 3 months. After that experience she was hooked on international travel. As a dancer, choreographer and instructor, Kishema's career took her to Brazil, Peru, Argentina, Sweden, Australia, all over Asia, Ghana and of course, South Africa. She hopes to be an inspiration to many, especially women from neighborhoods like Far Rockaway, Queens, where she was born and raised until she was a teen. Many Black women from where she is from do not usually get the opportunity to travel the way she has traveled.
