This title focuses on the spectroscopy and dynamics of microparticles, and considers the chemistry of microparticles in a range of environments. Identification of biological microparticles using ultrafast depletion spectroscopy Vibrational exciton coupling in pure and composite sulphur dioxide aerosolsFaraday Discussions 137 This volume focuses on micron sized particles, with emphasis on particles spanning a size range of 100 nm to 100 ?m, dispersed in a gaseous or liquid medium. The role of microparticles in complex environments is poorly understood and techniques to study the chemical and physical dynamics of microparticles are continually developing. Researchers can now characterise the size, composition and morphology of microparticles and trap and manipulate single particles. Work is presented in the following areas: Optical spectroscopy of microparticles; elastic scattering, Raman scattering, fluorescence spectroscopy, non-linear spectroscopy Chemical dynamics of microparticles; including chemistry relevant to the atmosphere, soft condensed matter, dusty plasmas, combustion processes Physical dynamics of microparticles; including phase transformation, size morphology, interparticle interactions New techniques for manipulating and characterising microparticles; optical and electrodynamic methods, new analytical techniquesHinweis: Dieser Artikel kann nur an eine deutsche Lieferadresse ausgeliefert werden.
Faraday Discussions documents a long-established series of Faraday Discussion meetings which provide a unique international forum for the exchange of views and newly acquired results in developing areas of physical chemistry, biophysical chemistry and chemical physics. The papers presented are published in the Faraday Discussion volume together with a record of the discussion contributions made at the meeting. Faraday Discussions therefore provide an important record of current international knowledge and views in the field concerned. The latest (2012) impact factor of Faraday Discussions is 3.82.
