Spiny is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Pakos awice, within Nysa County, Opole Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. It lies approximately 9 kilometres (6 mi) west of Pakos awice, 12 km (7 mi) north-west of Nysa, and 52 km (32 mi) west of the regional capital Opole. Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (see Territorial changes of Poland after World War II). Gmina Pakos awice is a rural gmina (administrative district) in Nysa County, Opole Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. Its seat is the village of Pakos awice, which lies approximately 9 kilometres (6 mi) north of Nysa and 43 km (27 mi) west of the regional capital Opole.
