This book examines the essential connecting points that people typically encounter as they progress on their own particular spiritual journey. For some, that may include regular participation in a practiced religious tradition. For others, their experience may not include a strong religious identity. Regardless of perspective, the connecting points provide a way to experience contemplative living-an awareness of life that's fully awake, fully alive. This gift of grace can lead to a new way of engaging in life and growth in spiritual maturity. Rev. Thomas Santa, CSsR, writes from the perspective of being both spiritual and religious, having spent most of his life as a Roman Catholic priest, spiritual director, and retreat director. He currently serves as the president and publisher of Liguori Publications, priest director of the Scrupulous Anonymous newsletter, and director of the ManagingScrupulosity.com website.
Thomas M. Santa, CSsR, the priest director of the Scrupulous Anonymous newsletter, has ministered to people with scrupulosity for more than twenty years. He is an associate faculty member and former director of the Redemptorist Renewal Center in Tucson, Arizona. He has also served as pastor of St. Michael Parish in Old Town, Chicago, and as President/Publisher of Liguori Publications. Fr. Santa is the author of many books, pamphlets, and newsletters, including all three editions of Understanding Scrupulosity (Liguori, 3rd edition 2017) and The Essential Bible Handbook (Liguori, 2002). He offers retreats for people with scrupulosity and workshops on scrupulosity for pastoral ministers and professional therapists.
