Autorenporträt
Jeannine Gerkman is an Author, Poet, Realtor and Volunteer. She moved to the Bay Area from the Northwest over 30 years ago with her husband; they built their home in Belmont, California. She has written over 60 poems, some of them Award-winning. She's been a banker, caregiver, nanny, sister, auntie, great-auntie, Certified Nursing Assistant and artist. She started composing verse to soothe her mother-in-law with Alzheimer's and found her poems gave both her and her listeners joy and contentment. She delights in word play and her favorite radio show is "Says You". Her debut children's picture book, "Spring" has been described as: "a superb choice for a calm, nighttime lap read or a unit on the seasons for lower elementary school classes" - Kirkus Reviews.
