The majority of commercial alkaline amylases are generated by bacterium especially Bacillus strains are one of the most important producers of extracellular commercially applicable amylases among various microorganisms. Some bacillus strains significant source of alkaline amylases with good thermostability and pH tolerant, which can be considered as congenial additives in detergents. These are used in laundry detergents as well as in the formulation of dishwashing detergents, so beneficial in both industrial and institutional cleaning detergents.
