Dr. Gina Torres is a European Qualified Consultant Urological Surgeon, endorsed for the European Board of Urology certification. She has studied and been trained at different reference centers in Europe, including Spain, the UK, and Belgium. Her master's and a PhD degrees are the description of the results of the Spanish arm of the European Randomized Study of Screening for Prostate Cancer (ERSPC; www.erspc.org ). She has worked as a Consultant in Female and functional Urology, with special interest in the functional reconstruction of the lower urinary tract and the underlying pharmacological control mechanisms. Also, she has vast experience in Pediatrics urology and urolithiasis (urinary tract stones). She is a member of several urology societies including the European Association of Urology (EAU), the Section of Female and Functional Urology (ESFFU) of the EAU, Endourologic Society among others. . Vice-president of the ACIEAU (Spanish Association of Researchers and Cientifics living in the United Arab Emirates), board member of RAICEX (Network of Associations of Spanish Researchers and Scientists Abroad), being president of the Investigation and Gender Commission (IgR).
