Val Godfrey has always had a deep love for animals, which shines through in her heartwarming stories about Stiggy, the adventurous springer spaniel. Val spent many years running a horse rug cleaning and repair business and managing a stable yard at Oliver's Farm. It was there that she witnessed the real-life adventures that inspired Stiggy's tales. These stories, all based on true events, bring the animal world to life in a charming and delightful way for children.After moving to the picturesque town of Hay-on-Wye, Val began working as a teaching assistant in several local schools with special needs children. Once immersed in the wonder of children's imaginations, Val felt compelled to share Stiggy's adventures with young readers, creating stories that not only entertain, but also teach gentle lessons about friendship, courage and helping one another.
