Produktbeschreibung
This book provides a comprehensive exploration of the intersection between destination management and the meeting, incentive, conference and events (MICE) sector. Current fragmented approaches to destination management can hinder the industry, especially in the face of changing market demands and the need for sustainable economic benefits for local communities. With effective governance and strategic collaboration among stakeholders, competitiveness of tourist destinations can be enhanced. As such, this book presents the principles of destination governance, the operational dynamics of Convention Bureaus and the application of the "6 A's" framework (access, accommodation, attractions, amenities, assemblage and ancillary services) in creating integrated offerings. With case studies to demonstrate how destinations can leverage their unique attributes and adapt governance strategies to drive sustainable economic growth, this is an invaluable guide for readers who are looking to navigate the future of business tourism.
