Produktbeschreibung
Strategic management for regional and local development is a field of study and practice that is moving away from traditional, centralized models in search of a more comprehensive and integrative approach. This book is about analyzing the dynamics of the Maranhão economy, from various perspectives of business and public administration in the southwestern region of Maranhão, Brazil. The analysis of the region's economic and market dynamics cannot be dissociated from the macroeconomic performance of the state as a whole, in which the region is a fundamental pillar for the economic growth of the state of Maranhão and for stimulating the development process. The economy of the region that is the subject of the study is characterized by poles of sectoral dynamism that operate in an interconnected way. The main of these hubs is the municipality of Imperatriz-MA, which serves as the urban, commercial and service heart of the region, and the municipality of Açailândia, an industrial hub of national importance.
