Street Smart guides young children and their caregivers to stay safe on city streets while moving on sidewalks and crossings. A joyful and inventive read-aloud to explore traffic signs, lights, and fire trucks in a big, vibrant city. The story is for kids aged three years and up, and perfect for elementary school-aged children. Autorenporträt
Becca Sofia is a writer, illustrator, mom, and former Senior Horologist with extensive knowledge of watch authentication and strategy. She was born in Sweden, studied Business Communication in Australia, and lives in the U.S. Becca loves skiing on fresh powder days in the Rocky Mountains, playing the piano, and dancing in colorful costumes. "Street Smart" is her second children's book, which aims to empower children while keeping them safe around traffic. The idea for the book came to her while she was walking the streets of Manhattan with her young son, inventing playful rhymes to keep him entertained and safe. She replaced "walking man" with "walking Max" or "walking human." One day, another mom stopped Becca and asked where she had learned that from, and the idea for the book was born. Becca's goal as an author is to spread the love of reading and to build support around parenting. Follow Becca on Instagram at beccasofiabooks or email books@littleandbig.com.
