This work is devoted to researching the specifics of stress factors and conditions inherent in the journalism profession. These include the need to cope with information overload and emotional stress, the ability to endure excessive and sometimes unwanted communication for professional purposes, irregular working hours, increased responsibility for quick decision-making, and time constraints under which modern journalists work. Working in the media leads to emotional stress, which can negatively affect the psychological state, creative potential, and level of professionalism of media workers. Foreign and Russian researchers have significant theoretical and empirical material devoted to the stressfulness of journalism as a profession, but in Belarus, insufficient attention is paid to the study of this problem area. The main results of the study confirm the stressful nature of professional experiences and indicate a high level of professional stress among Belarusian journalists.
