Julie is a Certified Medical Assistant and an active member in the Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA). She is also a Certified Professional Coder through the American Academy of Professional Coders, and a Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist through the American Medical Billing Association. For more than 20 years Julie has dedicated herself to educating medical assisting students and is a MAERB/CAAHEP site surveyor for accrediting and re-accrediting medical assisting programs throughout the country. She is currently a faculty member for the Medical Assistant Technology program at Sinclair Community College, Dayton, Ohio. She also serves on the Advisory Committee for the Medical Assisting program at Good Samaritan College of Nursing and Health Science in Cincinnati, Ohio. When not preparing and teaching medical assisting classes, Julie enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband of 41 years, Larry, and her beautiful grandchildren.
