Bharatkumar Vyas travaille actuellement comme entémologiste à l'Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation depuis 2012 et a travaillé auparavant comme professeur assistant au Nootan Science College, Visnagar, de 2002 à 2012. Il est directeur de thèse à l'Université JJT, Rajastan, et sous sa supervision, deux chercheurs ont obtenu leur diplôme. Il est également un éminent ornithologue.
