The significant presence of alcohol problems in the workforce has been a trending worry in organizations and society in Kenya. A size-able number of employees present with alcohol related problems such as absenteeism, low productivity, poor health and safety risks to name a few. This presents a cardinal challenge and a major threat for progressive economic development. This case study sought to investigate the impacts of alcoholism on the workforce. The objectives were to establish the social and financial costs of alcoholism on employees. It sited interventions to mitigate the impacts that can be generalized in other organizations.
