The findings of the study indicated that majority of the respondents belonged to middle age group, educated up to primary school level, majority of them belonged to other backward class, maximum number of respondents belonged to medium size of family and majority of them had no membership in any organization. Majority of the respondents were involved in agriculture + labour work for their occupation, maximum number of respondents belonged to small size of land holding and majority of them had high annual income and also had taken loan from Cooperative society. As regards to seeking information about summer rice cultivation from R.A.E.O. and progressive farmers. Majority of the respondents had medium level of scientific orientation, knowledge and adoption about summer rice production technology. As regards to technical constraints, labour intensive was found a major constraints, followed by personnel constraints, lack of education, social constraints, problem of grazing, economical constraints, requirement of more investment and institutional constraints, lack of extension services was found major constraints.
