Autorenporträt
Bernard Mensah is the co-founder of Black Creators in Kid Lit (#BlackCreatorsInKidLit) and the author of the picture books I Am Not Afraid of Anything and My Child, and the chapter book series Kwame's Magic Quest. Born and raised in Ghana, he currently lives in the UK raising two rambunctious boys. Find out more about Bernard at booksbybernardkmensah.co.uk. Islenia Mil is an Afro-Latina illustrator specializing thoughtful storytelling and vibrant color. She aims to transport her readers to another world. Her upbringing is a tale of two isles. She spent her childhood between the bustling environment of New York City and the tropical landscape of Santo Domingo, where she was born. When she's not illustrating, Islenia can be found at the gym, reading manga, in a theater, designing, gaming, learning about niche topics, or sleeping. She is based in NYC.
