When everyone can be super, who will rise to the top? In an alternate Los Angeles where gaining scientific powers is as easy as spending $8 on a latte, the line between hero and villain blurs as the opportunity rises. Now with corrupt elites and mad scientists profiting off the battles fought by LAPD’s new Super Science Division, led by the stern Sergeant Esmeralda Villanueva and her idealistic partner, Officer Jack Mantle, the stakes are higher than ever—especially when things turn personal. Interlaced with razor-sharp comedy and intimate (super)human connection, SUPER SCIENCE VOL. 2 is sci-fi at its most kinetic.
Super Science was written and created by N. Alessandro K. (Nicholas Kalikow). Kalikow is a feature film writer, director, and producer; as well as a freelance photographer. In 2013 Kalikow wrote and directed the feature film Concrete Blondes, this was followed up in 2017 by Carter & June; both of which Kalikow describes as "heist comedies." Kalikow has also produced numerous features films and documentaries with subjects as wide ranging as binge drinking, healthcare, and the automobile. Kalikow divides his time between New York and Los Angeles. Kalikow cites The Venture Bros., The X-Files, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Dexter’s Laboratory, Mad Men, Archer, The Kids In The Hall, and Mystery Science Theater 3000 as his major influences on this project.
