Emilie Collyer is an award-winning playwright and poet. Her writing has been published in Meanjin, Overland, Griffith Review, Island and Kill Your Darlings among many others. Her poetry collection Do you have anything less domestic? (Vagabond Press 2022) won the inaugural Five Islands Prize and she has been runner up in the Gwen Harwood Poetry Prize and shortlisted in the Newcastle Poetry Prize. Her writingcredits for theatre include Argonauta, Promise, The Good Girl, Once Were Pirates, Dream Home, Contest and Super, produced in Australia, New York, Los Angeles, Edinburgh and Prague. She has been commissioned by many of Australia's leading theatre companies including Melbourne Theatre Company, Malthouse Theatre, Red Stitch Theatre and The Street Theatre. Her plays have won and been nominated formultiple awards including Theatre503 International Playwriting Award (London), Queensland Premier's Drama Award, Green Room Association Awards, George Fairfax Prize, Patrick White Playwriting Award (twice nominated) and the Malcolm Robertson Prize.Emilie has a PhD in Creative Writing from RMIT.
