The management of these fractures is controversial, with two distinct techniques: closed reduction followed by percutaneous parallel or crossed pinning, and surgical reduction. Our aim is to study the functional results of these techniques.Materials and methods: This is a prospective descriptive study of 150 children operated on and followed up in our department over a 3-year period. Results: The mean age of the patients was 6.51+/- 2.74 years. There was a clear male predominance. The left side and type IV were the most dominant.44 patients underwent open-focus surgery,106 closed-focus surgery, 78% of whom underwent cross-bracketing.5.3% presented with post-operative secondary displacement.34.7% of cases presented with post-operative paresthesia. Results are reported according to Flynn's criteria, with a mean follow-up of 26 months. Our results with percutaneous cruciate pinning were excellent in 85.3% of cases, with a 98% satisfaction rate.
