Tatia Rubin-Carter is a wife, mother of four and a grandmother of nine. Mrs. Tatia Rubin-Carter was spiritually fed under the umbrella of the New Salem Baptist Church, under the leadership of Dr. Frank E. Ray in Memphis, Tennessee. Tatia was educated at Whitehaven high school (class of 1985) in Memphis Tennessee. She received her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Post University of Waterbury, Connecticut. Tatia retired from Shelby County Head start after 18 years and now spends most of her time worshiping God, as well as supporting her grandchildren in community and school activities. On occasion, she goes on trips for relaxation. Tatia's motto is: "Walk what you talk, even in difficult times."
