Dr. C. R. Parthasarathy holds B.E. and M.E. from Bangalore University and Ph.D. from IISc (1998-2002), with nearly 30 years of geotechnical experience in site characterization, deep foundation testing, and consulting in India and abroad for large-scale projects. He has delivered several lectures on various forums. As a technical partner of Pile Dynamics USA, he is involved in promoting quality testing of deep foundations in India and the Middle East. He has achieved EXPERT Level in the PDI/PDCA Proficiency Test on dynamic measurement and analysis, USA. He is the founder of Taqell Edification Pvt Ltd., and a chairman of SGES Foundation, a non-profit organization. He is an elected National Executive Committee member of the Indian Geotechnical Society for the term 2025-27. He was the chair of 3rd Indian Symposium on Offshore Geotechnics (ISOG 2024). Prof. B.M. Sunil has been a faculty member of civil engineering at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Karnataka, Surathkal, since 2006. His teaching and research are in the areas of geotechnical engineering (viz., environmental geotechnology, unsaturated soil mechanics, contaminant transport in porous media, utilization of industrial wastes in construction projects, etc.) Apart from teaching and research, Prof. Sunil B.M. has been actively associated with various consultancy works in geotechnical engineering. He has taken up sponsored projects from Industries and R&D organizations. He was a technical committee member for assessing the environmental damage caused by MSW landfill at Mangalore. He is the recipient of Scroll of Honour—for Outstanding Contribution to the cause of Engineering award instituted by the IEI (India). He was the joint organizing secretary of International Symposium on Lowland Technology (ISLT 2016). He was vice-chair of 3rd Indian Symposium on Offshore Geotechnics (ISOG 2024). Dr. Sharanappagouda Kadabinakatti is an Assistant Professor in civil engineering at Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal, India. He obtained his master’s degree in geotechnical engineering from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, and his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay. His doctoral research focused on in situ soil strength characterization of deepwater seabeds using an instrumented free-fall penetrometer. His research interests include offshore foundations, subsea soil characterization, soil–structure interaction, and sustainable reuse of geomaterials. He has published several research articles in reputed international journals and has been actively involved in teaching and consultancy in geotechnical engineering. Dr. Kadabinakatti is also a Board of Studies (BOS) member in civil engineering at a private university, contributing to curriculum design and academic development. In addition, he actively engages in consultancy, laboratory management, and collaborative research initiatives. Dr. Lohitkumar Nainegali is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Karnataka, Surathkal. He obtained his M.Tech. and Ph.D. degrees in civil engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, India. Before joining NIT, he served at the IIT Dhanbad for nearly a decade. With more than a decade years of teaching and research experience, his expertise spans physical and numerical modeling of geotechnical systems, stability of geotechnical structures, soil dynamics and foundations, and valorization of industrial waste. He has been awarded with several competitive research grants from the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Coal India Limited, SPARC, and Eastern Coalfields Limited, among others. Dr. Nainegali has contributed as an editor to a book and has authored several research articles published in several international journals and conferences. He also contributes to professional practice as a member of the BIS WRD 05 technical committee. Dr. Sreevalsa Kolathayar is an Associate Professor in civil engineering at National Institute of Technology (NIT) Karnataka, Surathkal, India.
