Sushobhan Majumdar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography at Pandit Raghunath Murmu Smriti Mahavidyalaya (Affiliated to Bankura University, India). He is an Applied Geographer who holds a Doctorate in Geography from the Department of Geography at the Faculty of Science at Jadavpur University in Kolkata and a Post Graduate degree from Presidency University in Kolkata. He has completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Remote Sensing and GIS from Jadavpur University, enhancing his expertise in geospatial technologies and their applications in geographic research and planning. He has over 13 years of experience in both academic research and professional practice. His primary areas of specialization include urban geography, social geography, regional development and planning, remote sensing and GIS, and the geography of transport. Dr. Majumdar has authored or edited more than 17 books with internationally reputed publishing houses. He has also contributed over 30 research and review articles and more than 60 book chapters in leading international journals and edited volumes. He has presented papers at over 30 national and international seminars and conferences across India and abroad. Additionally, he has delivered invited lectures and special talks in a range of national and regional academic programs. Dr. Majumdar is an active member of several professional bodies, including the Geographical Society of India, the Regional Science Association of India (RSAI), the Institute of Indian Geographers (IIG), and the National Association of Geographers of India (NAGI). Moharana Choudhury is an Indian researcher and environmentalist. He is currently a research coordinator in the Environmental Research and Management Division of "Voice of Environment" (VoE). Choudhury has over 14 years of experience in environmental research and services, spanning both research and professional work. His research interests encompass environmental research, waste management, wastewater treatment, environmental risk assessment, pollution control, plastic pollution, and climate change mitigation. He has authored or edited more than 15 books with internationally renowned publishing houses and published more than 40 research articles, review articles, and more than 50 book chapters in internationally recognized journals and publishers. He contributes to various environmental research, management, social media mass awareness, and research studies. He is also well known in India for his efforts to implement environmental education and safeguard the privileges of environmental degree holders in India. He has completed his education as an MSc, PGDGIS, PGDEM, and PGCGARD from Gurukul Kangri Deemed to be University, Haridwar, Uttrakhand, North Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong Meghalaya, Tezpur University, Assam, and National Institute of Rural Development (NIRDPR) Hyderabad, India, respectively. Ali Cheshmehzangi is a Professor and Head of the School of Architecture, Design and Planning (ADP) at The University of Queensland, where he leads the School and researches across the fields of architecture, design, and urbanism. He has been in the World’s top 2 percent field leader since 2022, recognised by Stanford University. He is among the top 25 global scholars in the urban sustainability research area. Ali has a wealth of experience, expertise, and a strong commitment to innovation and excellence in the fields of architecture, design, and planning, the three core disciplines of his School at UQ. With a career spanning over two decades, he has made significant contributions to the academic and professional communities, with a focus on sustainable and environmentally conscious design. Prior to joining UQ, Ali held several strategic leadership and senior managerial roles, such as Vice-President for International Engagement and Global Partnership, Founding Director and Head of the Center for Innovation in Education and Research, Head of the Department of Architecture and Built Environment, Founding Director of the Urban Innovation Lab, Director of a university-wide Teaching and Learning platform, Director of International Research Network for Rural and Urban Development, Founder and Head of Research Group for Sustainable Built Environment, co-director of university-wide research priority areas, Director of Center for Sustainable Energy Technologies, and Interim Director of Digital Design Lab. So far, Ali has published over 500 journal papers, articles, conference papers, book chapters, and reports. This is his 42nd academic book, alongside his many poetry collections that he has written in Parsi/Persian and English. Some of his previous academic books have received awards at the national, provincial, and municipal levels. He also has received international awards and recognition for his research on urban resilience studies and sustainability research, as well as a 2018 Vice-Chancellor’s award for his impactful contribution to higher education.
