O Dr. Manik Prabhu Narsing Rao obteve o seu doutoramento em 2016 no Departamento de Microbiologia da Universidade de Gulbarga, na Índia, e após investigação de pós-doutoramento na Universidade Sun Yat-Sen, na China, sob a orientação dos Professores Wen-Jun Li. É autor de numerosos artigos e capítulos de livros sobre a síntese biológica de nanopartículas.
