With the advance of technology, life expectancy has increased due to the rise in the population's quality of life. This has brought other challenges, including diseases associated with human ageing such as osteoporosis. To respond to this demand, tissue engineering seeks to develop methodologies for bone regeneration, using devices that use calcium phosphates, such as Hydroxyapatite - HAp, Tricalcium Phosphate beta-TCP, Tetracalcium Phosphate - TTCP, which were obtained in this work at different sintering temperatures. The study of synthetic routes for the production of these raw materials is therefore considered pertinent. The methodology applied by the Sol-Gel method proved to be efficient for obtaining calcium phosphates for bone regeneration. The present work served to study a production route in which the sol-gel method presented optimal conditions for producing calcium phosphates for biomedical applications.
