Johnny Sajem is an American comic artist who created the syndicated comic strip "Seaweed" (1977-1981), co-created the syndicated comic strip "The Evermores" (1982-1986) with legendary comic creator Mort Walker, and co-created "Winston" with Jim Burnett (1985-1987). He wrote and illustrated "Awesome", a colorful and educational Christian children's book designed to put children on the path to exploring and appreciating God's creations. Early life and career: He was born in 1937 in Barnesville, Georgia, and grew up in Atlanta. He graduated from Georgia Tech with a degree in Industrial Engineering. Other work: Johnny was a contributing gag writer for Guy Gilchrist on "Mudpie," "The Muppets" (based on Jim Henson's creations) and "Nancy' (based on Ernie Bushmiller's comic series) in the 1980s and 1990s. He wrote gags for Walt Disney's "Donald Duck" newspaper strip when it was drawn by Larry Knighton (1990-1995). He has illustrated several children's books and management training books. He was cartoonist for the official Atlanta Braves publication "Choptalk" for Seven years.
