The mist drifts up from the river, snaking through the orchard high on the hill behind the old blue house. Seven small figures, faint in the mist, waft slowly through the trees: searching, always searching. Where is she? Can't she hear them calling her? "Lizzie," they cry. "Come to us Lizzie," There is urgency in the call. They know time is growing short. They need to find Lizzie soon. Tanya doesn't mind the idea of moving away, she has no friends here anyway, but it would be nice if her dad would come home, and her brother would go away. How a move can change things! Tanya discovers a key that unlocks more than a ghost's mysterious bedroom. It unlocks family secrets from here to London - and reunites generations of family. Tanya gains real friends and no-longer real friends, as she plays her part in the desperate plan of SEVEN FIGURES FROM THE PAST. Join Tanya, her real family and her dancing family, as well as friends from the past and the present in Tanya Haunted, the SECOND of THE DANCERS series.

New Zealand born Cathrine (Cate) Marshall now calls Australia home because it has more adventurous ghosts, and less of her own. Her first book Mokes, Mines, and Mayhem was published in 2008 and she has since retired to write her series of middle grade books, The Dancers. Cate's short stories have placed in competitions; and have been placed in several anthologies. She is an active member of her local Fellowship of Australian Writers (FAW) branch as well as being Vice President and Competition Secretary for the State Committee. Cate loves creating stories about the people and places she encounters (and ghosts she dreams of meeting).
