The monograph outlines the content and methodological support for the training of future teachers to promote reading literacy among students of the National School of Education. It presents current educational programs for the training of future teachers of Ukrainian language and literature that have an interdisciplinary and socio-economic focus.The content and methodological support for the training of future teachers of literature for the formation of reading literacy of students of the National University of Science and Technology in foreign language literature classes based on the PISA-2018 study is outlined. The developed exercises and tasks are aimed at developing the reading competence of schoolchildren, which includes the ability to interact with the text at a deeper, interpretive level; critically evaluate the information received, formulate their own hypotheses based on what they have read and apply them in real-life situations.
