Through the centuries, stories have been used to shape life events as well as to preserve the culture and history of human kind. The stories also proved to be good educational and amusing tool for children of different ages. Different research show benefits that stories bring to children's education and development. Since the benefits are evident, it is necessary to examine the perception of the teachers about stories, because they are in a situation to use stories a lot in their practice. The main aim of this research was to gain insight into teachers' perception of stories in the Swedish context.

Dragana Gnjatovic licenciou-se na Escola de Formação de Professores do Ensino Pré-Escolar da Sérvia e trabalhou como professora do ensino pré-escolar. Em 2012, Dragana ganhou uma bolsa de estudos Erasmus Mundus e concluiu o Mestrado Internacional em Educação e Cuidados na Primeira Infância. Atualmente, trabalha como gestora das instalações de acolhimento de crianças na Universidade de Malta.
