Autorenporträt
Ed Linz is a retired FCPS Physics teacher. He has 30 years of teaching experience in Math and Physics at Woodbridge Senior High School and West Springfield High School. He holds a B.S. in Mathematics from the U.S. Naval Academy (1965) and served 20 years in nuclear submarines, including Commanding Officer, USS KAMEHAMEHA. He has also earned two Masters Degrees, one from Oxford University (1976) in Economics, and the other from George Mason University (1988) in Secondary Education. Mr. Linz is the author of three books, including a science textbook published by the National Science Teachers Association Press (2011). He also writes a weekly opinion column and is working on a non-fiction book concerning his hiking experiences following a heart transplant operation 25 years ago. In addition to hiking, his hobbies include kayaking and gardening. He lives with his wife, Sharon, in Springfield.
