Ten Piscataqua Writers 2026 is an anthology of ten fiction, nonfiction, and poetry chapters from contemporary writers living and working in the Piscataqua River watershed between NH and ME. It includes a novel excerpt by James Gatto titled Clara Beller and Larry Andrews, a memoir excerpt from Peter Welch called Boyhood, Belonging, Becoming, 11 poems by Abbie Kiefer titled Better Homes, Better Gardens, 2 short short stories from Jason Allard called Some Kind of Hero and Shugy¿sha, and 2 short essays by Matt Miller under the title Midway Through This Journey. In the second half of the collection are 21 poems by John Perrault under the title Whatever You Got Going On, a short story by Bob Gielow called The Culling, a memoir by Jane C. Elkin called The Colors of Mourning, 30 poems by Paul Goodwin under the title The Long Perspective, and lastly, a short story by Madeline Kearin called Witch Hole Pond.
