Luanne Langdon is a retired teacher-librarian who has worked with children for many years. She combines her love of reading and writing with a deep appreciation for history, geography, local culture, and the wild yet beautiful world of nature around her. Living on the edge of the North Atlantic Ocean, the weather has always been of great interest and importance to her. This story is based on an annual event that occurs in a small fishing community near her home. Previously, she has published Dolly's Rescue.
