R.J. Matthews began writing down his creative thoughts in 2015. Born and raised in Michigan, R.J. enlisted in the Army and became an intelligence analyst over his 10-year military career. He saw time in Hawaii, Texas, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and England. After leaving the Army he moved to Harrogate, England and joined the British Police staff. Returning to the United States in 2011, R.J. settled in Asheville, NC, met his beautiful wife, and started working for the Department of Veterans Affairs. He and his wife are on a quest to visit all 31 NHL arenas. They have visited 13 so far. R.J. is currently working on a screenplay for Tequila Highway: Last Exit.
