Preston Ford is an American fiction writer whose work explores themes of identity, memory, morality, and the metaphysical boundaries of human experience. Raised in the Deep South and a graduate of Auburn University Montgomery and Johns Hopkins University, Ford brings a wide-ranging literary sensibility to his fiction. From the brutal moral reckonings of Quarter Moon: A Novel of the American South, to the haunting ambiguity of Days of Unease, to the witty and intimate romanticism of The 49th Steet Diner & Other Stories, he examines the inner space of the human psyche and renders it in stark, unapologetic realism while at the same time refusing to follow literary trends.
