Autorenporträt
Elaine Newton spent forty years working in the federal government before retiring in 2023. One of her retirement goals was to write a children's book based on the bedtime stories that she used to tell her niece. Elaine's debut novel, "The Adventures of Mayola: My World is Changing" is co-authored with her niece. This novel is the first in a series based on the character of Mayola the housecat. Grace Newton has been writing poetry based on her unique life experiences since she was a child. From elementary school through college, Grace realized that questions about love, friendship, and race never are completely answered, but evolve as we go through life. When Grace's aunt began writing a book based on bedtime stories she told Grace, it seemed like the perfect place to share her writing and experiences with others in a way that would help young and not so young children understand that they are not alone.
