Ashlyne Blue knew she wanted to do something special for her husband Marcus's birthday, and she knew just who to call to help her with it: her ridiculously talented nephew Simon, who was only twelve years old at the time. Over a span of a few months, Ashlyne and Simon worked in secret to write and illustrate what would become The Adventures of Nellie + Ollie, the true account of Ashlyne and Marcus's love story told through their canines' eyes. Before this foray into children's literature, Ashlyne kept busy writing a mix of fiction (Falling Stars) and how-to work books for those who had been through heartbreak (How To Move On From A Divorce And Be Happy). Currently, she's working on a historical fiction project about her paternal grandparents' remarkable lives while she lives with Marcus and their dogs in Aspen, Colorado.
