An ancient soul escapes from heaven desperate to discover who he was in a past life--and to live. Inhabiting another man's body, Ari attaches himself to Charlotte, a New York City librarian, who becomes his reluctant accomplice. Their collaboration is complicated by a pair of angels who, armed with 9mm automatics, have been tasked with bringing Ari back. A tautly paced urban fantasy, The Aeon of Forgetting is a novel of art, the afterlife, existential questions, and the arresting beauty to be found in the here and now.
